Success alert!

As a result of the sponsored event, with Olympic athlete James Kirton, we have raised over £900 for the school to spend on sports equipment. Well done everyone.

SPORT RELIEF

As well as taking part in the Olympic Enrichment day, our pupils also raised an amazing £131 for Sport Relief and were proud to learn that this sum could go towards providing the following:

  • £90.70 = vaccines against 5 deadly diseases for 20 children in Ghana
  • £78.40 = 10 elderly people in the UK, who live alone, to join a club
  • £426 = to pay for a child carer of disabled parent to go on holiday
  • £29.40 = Malaria medication for 100 children in Uganda

Well done to everyone who supported this event.

SPORTS DAY

The weather was kind to us! Lots of fun on our annual sports day.

Congratulation to the BLUE team - our 2016 winners!

QUEEN'S 90TH BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS

In commemoration of the Queen's 90th Birthday, we planted an oak tree in the school grounds, as well as enjoying a wonderful whole school picnic.

BASIC SKILLS QUALITY MARK

We are delighted to inform you that our school has been awarded the Basic Skills Quality Mark Award. This national accreditation is awarded to schools which meet the Quality Mark Standard. The award promotes and celebrates progress and improvements made by a school in English and Mathematics. To achieve the award schools have to undergo an assessment carried out by an external assessor.

A huge thank you to all those who took part and gave an interview during the day. We hope you will share in the pride of the school and the children in achieving this award.
